By Air- The nearest airport from Hassan City is Bajpe Airport. It is domestic airport which is located at a distance of 135 km from Hassan. The nearest international airport is Bengaluru International Airport situated at a distance of 179 Km.

By Train - Hassan is well connected with trains and two trains from Bangalore depart for Hassan every day.

By Road - Karnataka road transportation bus services offer their services to Hassan City and you can also get private busses which are bit costlier than the public buses but you can get AC and other facilities also in them.

Tourist destinations

Hasanamba Shrine - This shrine is dedicated to Goddess Shakti. This temple opens only once in a year when a festival is celebrated here with much devotion. A weeklong “Jatra” is celebrated here in this temple of Hassan City in the month of October.

District Museum - If you are interested in ancient sculptures, coins, paintings and weapons, District Museums is the best spot for you to visit Hassan City.

Suddeshvara - This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Suddeshvara. It is situated in a very beautiful area surrounded with natural beauty and is believed to have been constructed by Venkatappa Nakara.

Belur - Located at a distance of 40 km from Hassan Tour, Belur is known for its 800 years old temple of Chennakesava. This temple was built by Holsaya rulers. There is one more temple here which is as marvelous as the Chennakesava temple, knowns as Veeranarayana Temple which have numerous Hindu God sculptures.

Halebid - Halebid or Dwarashmudra which is the ancient capital of Holsaya Empire is located around 39 km from Hassan. This place has 12th century’s Hoysaleswara Temple which has many idols and sculptures representing Hindu mythological stories. This temple is important for religious as well as architectural value.

Sravanabelagola - Sravanabelagola is a famous Jain pilgrimage center which is situated around 52 Km from Hassan. And the most important feature of this temple is the 17 m high statue of Lord Gomateswar, which is a monolithic statue and is believed to be 1800 years old.
