Bangalore - The Silicon Valley of India

Places to Visit

Vidhana Soudha It is a rectangular shape building which has the State secretariat and legislature. It is a blend of modern and ancient style of architecture and has a central hall, assembly hall and State banquet hall. The royal stairs located in the front attracts the tourist for its construction.

Lal Bagh

It is a 240 acre park and serves as a home to rare plants, shrubs and trees. The garden has a charming lake, ornamental clock, and an aquarium. The flower shows organized by the Department of Horticulture display a wide variety of flowers every year.

Fort and Palace

It is a two storeyed wooden structure with majestic pillars and balconies.

Government Mueseum

It is one of the oldest museums and holds a lot of scriptures, carvings, paintings and inscriptions.

The Mueseum is kept open on all days except Mondays.

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium

A place meant to live in the sky for some time. The sky theatre show reveals wonders of the planets and solar system.

Cubbon Park

Cubbon Park - This 120-hectare wooded and flowered park was laid out in the heart of the Bangalore bivouac in 1864. Since then, more fairy fountains and a variety of plants have been added. Located near the Vidhan Soudha, the Cubbon Park nestles a number of neo-classical styled government buildings.
